Dear TBLS Parents and Guardians,
The Brooklyn Latin School needs our support in many ways. Please consider these two important ways to help now:
1. Support the new building initiative (send an email or letter)
TBLS is over capacity and desperately needs a new school building to accommodate our students. The School Leadership Team (SLT) has formed a committee including school faculty and staff, students and parents to identify a new location for TBLS and to obtain Department of Education (DOE) approval for a new school building. The committee has already identified at least one exciting location in Williamsburg!
Please help us obtain DOE approval by sending a letter this weekend. A team of TBLS parents drafted this form letter for you to sign and send now (or copy the text into an email). Feel free to draft your own email or letter instead! The more parent and guardian requests that we send, the more attention this issue will receive. To help us track how many parent/guardian letters are sent, please take a moment to complete this google form, copy us on your email, or send a quick email to contact@brooklynlatinpa.org to let us know you've helped.
2. Help with our spring online auction
The TBLS Parent Association plans to hold an online auction this spring as its annual fundraiser. Please help by donating gift certificates and other items of value (email us at copresidents@brooklynlatinpa.org), or by soliciting donations or helping to set up the online auction site (sign up to volunteer here). Most of the coordination and planning will be done by email, so meeting time will be minimal and most of the work can be done at your convenience. STAY CONNECTED AND INFORMED!

· Complete all student forms in Operoo. Contact Mr. Tomas if you need help creating your account.
· Observe the March meeting of the TBLS PA executive board on Monday, March 1 from 6:00 to 7:30pm.
· Join us for our March Parents' Night Out, an informal gathering of TBLS parents and guardians who want an opportunity to connect with other parents and guardians to discuss anything relating to parenting our TBLS students. Thursday, March 4 from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
· Check last week's End of Week Wrap-Up from the DOE's Office of Family and Community Empowerment (FACE) for a ton of school and community information.
· Attend the March TBLS PA General Meeting. Wednesday, March 17, 6-7:30 pm. Watch for details to come.
